What you’ll get

  • Individualized Learning

My apprenticeship is designed to give you individualized training so you can feel supported. As opposed to a classroom setting, you will be in the salon working alongside one other student. You will be taught the same curriculum, given the same tools, and on the same schedule to ensure you always have a friend for support. This also gives me the ability to customize my curriculum to your specific learning style so that you can make the most out of your apprenticeship.

  • In Depth Education

You will receive nail education that not only meets Utah’s requirements but exceeds them. You will be taught to produce high quality nails, and to give a high-end service. By the completion of your education, you will feel confident to begin a successful career immediately upon graduation and to pass the Utah State Board written and practical tests. You will also receive custom text and materials that are beyond industry standards, that will provide you with a more detailed understanding of the curriculum.

  • Real World Experience

Unlike traditional Nail School, an apprenticeship allows you to have a unique opportunity to learn in a salon setting. This allows you to become familiar with the ins and out of the nail industry as a whole, as well as prepares you for what your average day at work will look like when you become licensed. You will learn what types of employment opportunities are available to Licensed Nail Technicians, as well as network with salons in our community that are established and credible.

  • Quality Starter Kit

A starter kit will be provided for you to use for the duration of your apprenticeship and keep after graduation. This kit is full of essential tools and products necessary to become a successful Nail Artist. All brands and tools are exactly what I use in my day-to-day job to ensure that you only learn and use top grade products. You will also be provided with a prepped practical kit that you will use for your State Board Practical Exam.

  • Business Experience

Building a successful career in the Nail Industry is not only about producing a quality service, but also about running a business and managing an income. Because the majority of Nail Artists in Utah choose to be self-employed, it is important to understand how to run a business safely and legally. You will learn how to start a business, how to categorize expenses, and how to determine your pricing so that you make a fair income.

  • Clientele and Income

Because you will be licensed to work in a salon under supervision, you will be able to focus on building your own clientele. All compensation and tips that you receive for the duration of your apprenticeship is yours to keep. You will learn how to build a clientele and sustain one, as well as how to charge accordingly for the services you offer.
